Electrostimulation,
explained simply
A conventional workout recruits muscle fibres through movement. EMS adds a light electrical impulse that also reaches the deep fibres, hard to engage otherwise. The result: the whole body works at once, without heavy loads and without strain on the joints.
The suit
- Electrodes spread across the whole body. Chest, abs, back, glutes, arms, thighs: each area has its own setting.
- It's dampened before the session. That's what lets the current pass properly.
- The equipment is miha bodytec, made in Germany, the industry benchmark.
- Your coach stays attentive to your movements. They keep a hand on the medical computer and adjust the intensities that suit you, muscle group by muscle group.
Measure, don't guess
The scale says almost nothing. Body analysis separates what matters: muscle mass gained, fat mass lost, distribution across the body.
- A baseline from the first session, to set a point of comparison.
- Regular tracking, usually every four weeks.
- A sheet handed over each time, compared with the previous one.
EMS isn't for everyone
Let's be frank about it. A health questionnaire is filled in with you before the first session, and the DIN 33961-5 standard governs the practice.
- Pregnancy : not advised throughout pregnancy. After giving birth, resume with the agreement of the doctor or midwife.
- Pacemaker or electronic implant : absolute contraindication.
- Epilepsy, severe heart conditions, thrombosis, hernia : medical advice required before any session.
- Cancer under treatment, fever, acute infection : we wait, and seek the treating doctor's advice.
- Doubt, ongoing treatment, recent surgery : talk to your doctor. Your coach is no substitute for medical advice.
This list covers the main contraindications and does not replace individual medical advice.
What people ask us
Does it hurt?
No. It feels like a deep contraction, a little disconcerting the first time. The intensity is set with you, muscle by muscle, and raised gradually.
I've never done sport, is it for me?
Yes. Your coach starts from your actual level: there's no group to keep up with, no machine to figure out.
How many sessions per week?
One session a week is enough to progress. The 48-hour gap between sessions gives the muscle time to recover.
What should you bring?
Something to shower and change into. You train in the studio's EMS gear.
How soon do you see results?
The first effects are felt after a few weeks. The included body analysis lets you check without relying on the scale.
Try it, it's free
One trial session, twenty minutes, no commitment. It's the only way to know if the method suits you.
